The changes in obliquity of the textural skeletal outline with respect to the SZB (angle b) with increasing shear strain is similar for all experimental conditions.
The solid curve reflects the angle between the long axis of the finite strain ellipse and the SZB reflecting a passive rotation behavior with increasing shear strain.
The obliquity angles b follow this trace as long as c-axis cross girdles exist (filled symbols). Reduction of the c-axis cross girdles to c-axis single girdles (open symbols) involves a rapid decrease in b and therefore a departure from the rotation path of the long axis of the finite strain ellipse occurs.
Above shear strains of six, skeletal outlines of the texture attain stable orientations (angle b = 86-88°).
