Detail of granodiorite moderately deformed at mid greenschist conditions.Moderately deformed granodiorite. Elongated aggregates of recrystallized quartz and biotite have coalesced to form continuous layers. Feldspar porphyroclasts have deformed by brittle fracturing, without recrystallization or neomineralization; the new material that has formed between the feldspar fragments is quartz and biotite. |
