Granodiorite highly deformed at mid greenschist conditions; fractured feldpsars have separated, weaker quartz and biotite have coalesced.Strongly deformed granodiorite, illustrating foliation development. Dynamic recrystallization of quartz and biotite is concentrated near or between relatively rigid plagioclase porphyroclasts. Separation of feldspar fragments and coalescence of recrystallized quartz and biotite has begun to produce continuous layers of weak phases. |
