SAXI training courses aim to develop the right skills and competencies for young and experienced professionals, researchers and students in Earth Sciences.
Structurally controlled Hydrothermal Alteration in Orogenic/Intrusion-related Gold Systems / 27th and 28 April 2024
This two-day short course, aimed at mine and exploration geologists and graduate students, will provide a mineral system analysis of orogenic/intrusion-related gold including their structural, hydrothermal alteration/mineralization and fluid chemistry control at epi, meso, and hypozonal crustal levels.
The course includes:
– Lectures,
– Hands-on exercises with selected rock samples, diamond core, thin- and polished-sections and micro-XRF images from epi, meso, and hypozonal gold deposits from Western Australia and Brazil.

Structural Geophysics – online short course
11th – 15th July 2022 – Online via Teams
This course will provide an introduction to modern analysis techniques applied to the interpretation of regional geophysical data.
It will improve your skill base in modern integrated structural geophysics mapping techniques.
Duration: 5 days Language: English Where: Online via Teams (places limited to 25 participants)
Time: 5 days, 3 hours/day pre-recorded lecture to be watched at any time before the related session + 3 hours/day live online (lab exercises).
