Localisation by experimental configuration

The strain concentration of moderate to high strain regions along the SZB is induced by the experimental boundary conditions. Stress concentration along the intersections of sample borders and frosted grips result in strain concentration along the lower SZB in the field of view during the first part of the experiment. As a consequence of the left ward moving upper SZB the strain concentration in the upper right corner becomes visible in the field of view at the end of the experiments.
