The left hand side shows a pole figure with trajectories of individual c-axis rotation paths.
Basically three different types of c-axis rotation paths can be distinguished (right hand side):
Type I: Weakly inclined c-axes at the periphery of the pole figure. These c-axes rotate synthetically with respect to the bulk vorticity.
Type II: Steeply inclined c-axes which remain their steep orientation in the center of the pole figures.
Type III: Intermediate to steep c-axes in the center of the pole figures. These c-axes preferentially rotate synthetically towards smaller inclinations.
